Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the peaches with all their syrup into a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not stir. Slice the cold butter into very thin pats and arrange them all over the top to cover the surface.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the juices bubble around the edges and the top is golden brown. Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Scoop into bowls while warm and serve with vanilla ice cream or cold cream.
Notes
A light shake of cinnamon over the cake mix before adding the butter is a nice touch if you have it, but the cobbler tastes like a real dessert with just those three ingredients. Letting it rest after baking keeps the sauce syrupy without making it watery.
